All I Want For Christmas Is My Original Work

Christmas break is just around the corner. It’s only two weeks away- and I couldn’t be more excited for my last holiday season in high school. Unfortunately, winter break doesn’t just bring with it sleigh bells and Santa Claus. It signals the end of the semester, a time where school work is turned up to 11.

I have AP classes and scholarship applications to worry about as well as Christmas shopping to do. But the biggest and most exciting project that is coming to a close is my Original Work. The Original Work is a culmination of my efforts this semester in ISM relating to my book. For the project, I proposed that I submit my manuscript to publishers and procure my personal brand as an author after I edit and revise my manuscript. I have finished my revisions and editing, and all that’s left is the networking and submission process. Before I submit my manuscript I plan on making a couple of polished drawings to submit along with the manuscript. I am also going to connect with some authors on Linkedin and ask if they would do me the favor of reading over my manuscript and perhaps critiquing it. The Original Work is due this Friday, and I am confident I can submit my best work.
